each entry has its own setting, cast, and themes, but each one contributes to a compelling, overarching narrative which will blow your mind. reading in release order is pretty much essential to get the most out of it, but i won't judge if you started with steins;gate.
we're lucky to live in a world where the mainline sciadv series is available in english, with community-made patches available to bring them all up to a very high standard.
